Gardiner, Washington

Gardiner is an unincorporated community in Jefferson County, Washington, USA. Located on the northern coast of the Olympic Peninsula on the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Gardiner features a church and a store. There is a boat ramp in Gardiner that provides access to Discovery Bay. Here an annual salmon fishing derby is held. The community has roughly 200 people and is located 12 miles east of Sequim, just off U.S. Route 101. The area was originally cleared and planted with fruit trees (apples/pears) and takes the name of the farmer.
Gardiner contains a small "downtown" corridor, featuring several stores, a community center and a church. Additionally, part of Clallam County is often referred to as being part of Gardiner. This area is located along the Jefferson County line, south of the Miller Peninsula.
