Ganji Bar

Ganji Bar is the lower valley region from the old flow of the rivers Satluj and river Beas or river Hakra to Ravi. Districts lying in this area are Bahawalnagar, Chishtian etc.
"Bar" is the name given to areas in Punjab which were thick forests or barren lands before the advent of the new canal irrigation system.
The dominant culture of this region is Bari culture and native language spoken is also a variant of Jhangochi dialect of Western Punjabi.
After abadkari, lands of this area were granted to retired personnel of the Royal Army.
