Gandhi is the family name of a number of prominent 20th century Indian politicians and leaders. It is most commonly used to refer to Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (1869–1948), widely known as Mahatma Gandhi, one of the leaders of India's independence movement and known to Indians as the Father of the Nation. His descendants include:
- Harilal Gandhi (1888–1948), eldest son of Mahatma Gandhi
- Manilal Gandhi (1891–1956), second son of Mahatma Gandhi and father of Arun Gandhi
- Ramdas Gandhi (1897–1969), third son of Mahatma Gandhi

- Tushar Gandhi, Indian politician and peace activist, great-grandson of Mahatma Gandhi
It is also used to refer to the family of Feroze Gandhi (12 August 1912 - 8 September 1960) an Indian politician and journalist. Indira was the daughter of India's first prime minister (1947–1964), Jawaharlal Nehru, who subsequently became a major force in Indian politics. This family is not related to Mohandas Gandhi; the last name Gandhi was obtained from Feroze Gandhi. Prominent members of this family include:
- Indira Gandhi (1917–1984), Prime Minister of India (1966–1977, 1980–1984); daughter of Jawaharlal Nehru
