Wikipedia:Gaming Collaboration of the week/Removed
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This page contains nominations from the main Gaming Collaboration of the week page which have been removed due to lack of votes or because they're unsuitable nominations. If no reason is given for the removal of a nominated article, assume that there was not a sufficient amount of votes for it to proceed. Please note that removed articles may be renominated after two months of staying on this page. If you are adding new nominations here from Gaming Collaboration of the week, be sure to delete any {{GCOTW}} tags on said page's talk page. Successful nominations are listed at the history page.
This page only tracks nominations for the past 2 to 3 months only.

Comments: Well known for the musical pieces in the Sonic the Hedgehog series - one of the only things still going right with the franchise.

- These games were quite succesful paroidies of Deer Hunter, The stub simply list the games in the series a lot more can and should be done. Da Big Bozz 03:32, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
- I'll vote for it, but I'm not sure how notable it is. Mrmoocow 07:18, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

- Although not on the same level as the "Big Three" (Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft), here is one of the most commercially successful educational video game platforms perhaps since the great video game crash. It is a sorry stub as it stands and could probably benefit from merging in related articles as subsections as well as intense expansion. I understand that there is an opinion that edutainment consoles are not true "video games", and I think that sentiment is what has kept this article a stub. But there should be enough information available to create a much higher-quality article. Zytron 23:14, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

- Seeing as the game was released this week, it is in need of heavy cleanup as well as being re-written from speculation to fact. Havok (T/C/e/c) 13:56, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

- An article about a major video game genre needs to be at least GA quality while we are currently at B class. This is an important topic for CVG enthusiasts and anyone else alike! I also believe that there have been numerous studies on the players of these games. Greeves (talk • contribs) 18:17, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

- Is the 64DD's very first add-on disk. I started this article awhile ago but I stopped working on it to focus on F-Zero GX. Doing GX is taking a substantial amount of time, but I think a collaboration would be great on an article that is one of the more well-known games in the series and on the add-on system. - The GCOTW is more for stubs and smaller articles. AOEIII would benefit better from a Wikipedia:Good Article Collaboration of the week. Thunderbrand 19:02, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

- Started the whole conquest genre that has influenced many games like Quake Wars, Star Wars Battlefront, War Rock, and others as well as starting off the very successful Battlefield Series. I think it should be a very high priority and needs a lot of help. Pembroke 21:52, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

- Substub article that should make a good collaboration. Many people are nominating articles that are already B-class or higher, these tend not to make good collaborations. JACOPLANE • 2007-02-17 16:36

- There are various articles on the "creator" of the first video game and their opinions are varied depending upon the bias of the author. What is needed is a page which addresses all the criticisms and allows the reader to make a decision for themselves. Drumpler 15:52, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

- This article has been abandoned and has had no new edits since March 2005. It is listed on Wikipedia:WikiProject Abandoned Articles in the section I, as a participant in that Project, am dealing with. I am trying to get editors to an interest in it and this seems a good way. Bduke 09:02, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
