[edit] Misleading

The top of this article said "Game 6 can refer to one of two particularly famous (rather, one famous and one infamous) World Series games in Major League Baseball history." The article then proceeds to list 6 events.

I assume the two events originally alluded to are the 1975 World Series and the 1986 World Series. Not only are these the two most famous Game 6s listed, "famous and infamous" indicates a Red Sox perspective.

I don't know whether this article needs to be culled or expanded. There is no corresponding article for a general "Game 7" (of which there are several memorable examples), so it may be best to mark it for deletion or change it into some sort of "baseball's most (in)famous moments/games" type of article.

Also, there is a film called "Game 6" (http://imdb.com/title/tt0425055/) which needs its own page. Woodshed 08:30, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

The term "Game 6" has special meaning in the context of post-season baseball, and quite frankly almost always refers to the '86 WS game. Alight 13:45, 1 June 2006 (UTC)
This Mets fan doesn't disagree with you, though I can see an argument for the ' 75 Series since it a) is inarguably one of the most famous baseball video clips of all-time (moreso than Buckner, perhaps) and b) predates the '86 series. I don't have any sort of grasp of whether a mere reference to "Game 6" immediately recalls Carlton Fisk to a large group of people. (For a couple of years, "Game 6" made me think of Kenny Rogers to far too often.) Woodshed 02:24, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
The thing is, that for some reason, most people seem to think that Fisk's HR was in game 7! I think that the term "Game 6" is much more evocative of '86 than '75 (even to Sox fans).Alight 10:28, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Movie

I created a page for the Game 6 movie, and added a note at the top of this page linking to the movie page.
