Game Dames & Guitar Thangs (1977) was the debut album by Eddie Hazel. It was an album that was of particularl interest for P-Funk fans for its lead being the only solo album released by Hazel when was alive.
Two of the songs on the album are the covers, including a cover of The Beatles' I Want You (She's So Heavy) and The Mamas & the Papas' California Dreamin'.
Rhino Records' 2004 reissue was a numbered limited edition that is currently out of print. The Collector's Choice Music label has reissued this album and the "Jams From The Heart" EP as separate discs.[1]
