This category lists games that prominently feature China, Chinese characters, or Chinese-inspired themes. This category should not be used for a game if any of the following conditions apply:

  • references to China are only incidental
    • Example: Characters in Street Fighter
    • Example: A small portion of the game takes place in a Chinatown
  • the game is merely derived from a traditional game of Chinese origin
    • Example: Puzzle games using Mahjong tiles
    • Example: Variants of Go or Chinese Checkers
