[edit] Re:Nathu La
Hi,
Thanks for copyediting the article. I see that you left a couple of comments over POV in the article. The first one is regarding the following sentence: "Nathu La played a key role in the 1903–1904 British expedition to Tibet, which was an undertaking to shut out Russian imperial influence in the region." Can you please clarify if you want reference for Nathu La playing key role, or the British expedition being an undertaking to shut Russian imperial influence. The second one is with regards to the following sentence: "During this period, more than 1,000 mules and 700 people were involved in cross-border trade through Nathu La." The accompanying reference (the one we used) is this article. We thought that this would be a reliable reference (though it is not primary), so included it in the article. If you contest its reliability, the specific citation can be deleted.
There was also a minor confusion arising out of your edit. One of the sentence edited by you now reads Because of the steep elevation increase in the pass' east (Indian) side, the vegetation graduates from sub-tropical forest at its base, to a temperate region, to a wet and dry alpine climate, and finally to cold tundra desert devoid of vegetation. I want to clarify that India is on the pass' west and China (Tibet) is on the east. The original sentence had a general reference about India's east, where Nathu La is located. I have copyedited the sentence. Please have a look at it again to copyedit per your satisfaction. Just another querry...I find the phrase "steep elevation increase" a bit redundant. Please confirm if it's acceptable usage. Thanks again. Regards, — Ambuj Saxena (☎) 05:04, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Galena, thanks for copyediting the article. I have replied on the talk page of the article regarding the Russian influence and the weasel wording. One thing that you missed out was the removal of non-breaking spaces ( ) which according to the WP:MoS is required between a number and unit. Regards, =Nichalp «Talk»= 12:14, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
Thanks again for proofreading. The Nathu La article is now featured. — Ambuj Saxena (☎) 06:05, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Request
Hi Galena, we have a copyediting request for you. Delhi has been featured recently, but the prose is not up to the mark IMO. Could you please have a look at the article? We plan to clone similar content to get New Delhi up and running for FAC by March 3. Thanks! =Nichalp «Talk»= 08:09, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Ask for help
Dear Galena11!
I have built an article on Science in Persia and Iran over the last two years. It is now a comprehensive article. However it is in need of copyediting. As I am not an English native speaker, I would like to ask you for doing me a favor and copyediting this article. I can imagine that in some sections there are some pov tone, grammar mistakes and poor language. Any helps will be very much appreciated. Thanks for your time. Sangak 17:00, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
I am also working on Abbas Kiarostami. It is now a FA candidate. In case you have time please take a look at the page and let me know of your comments here so that I can improve the article further. Thanks. Sangak Talk 16:43, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Copyeditor's Barnstar
I noticed you voiced an opinion in the first discussion on a Copyeditor's Barnstar/Award which was archived without decision. If you haven't already, would you please check in with the current discussion? The !votes/opinions from the first discussion, althought noted at the top, are not being counted in the current tally. It would be great if you would also weigh in on your preference of graphic design from among the choices (currently eight different images, the last being added at around 15:23, Thursday, 1 March 2007). If you !vote, please update the tally near the top of the discussion. Thanks. --PigmanTalk to me 22:15, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] The Black Parade
Thanks for your help, particularly with references- I hadn't noticed the lack of referencing for AMG, Rolling Stone or Brian May. Most helpful! --Moralis 21:04, 2 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Great Barrier Reef - Thanks
Thanks for looking that geology and geography section over. I'm glad it looks ok to you - it was difficult to source! :) -Malkinann 00:00, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Mayan languages
If the FAC is any indication, I'm the only one who still has really serious gripes with the article, whether be it the organization of information in several sections (which I'm not sure I have the energy to rework myself) or the citing, so I'd really appreciate if someone could still give it a look.
