[edit] Hamilton
Just for future reference, a list of television stations in a city's article is required to list stations by their legal callsign and their over-the-air channel number, not by their brand name and cable assignment. The station is to be listed as channel 11 CHCH-TV, not "channel 12 CH". Bearcat 00:40, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Useful tool (not you!)
I would like to thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thanks again. [edit] Ethnic groups
I noticed that you have been adding a lot of useful information from Canadian census reports to articles about individual cities and towns. You might note that when referring to ethnic origin, it is preferable to link to an article that that specifically discusses the ethnic group rather than their (original) country or their language—for example, [[English people|English]] is preferable in this context to [[England|English]] or (worst of all) English, which is a disambiguation page. [edit] White British
Thanks for your recent contributions to the White British article. Your edits, although unsourced, make much more sense. Marcus1234 17:50, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] White Canadian statistics
I reverted your change of the population percentage in White Canadian. The figure is given as "of the Canadian population", so it should be derived by dividing single responses by total population, not single responses by total single responses.[1] —Michael Z. 2006-11-29 00:27 Z

[edit] Hamilton, Ontario
Hello Galati........
Welcome to wikipedia. I notice when you make your contributions to wikipedia that you are not using your "Edit Summary" box. This is a useful tool to use because for one thing it takes alot of the guess work for the rest of us and we can then better understand why an edit was made.
Secondly, When citing sources use Citation Templates. The Templates provide a standard format for citations and often cause a contributor not to forget key elements. For example, the cite web template requires, URL, ACCESSDATE and TITLE. There are additional fields, but it will error out if you don't atleast contribute those 3 elements. You may want to see WP:CITET.
Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and the Hamilton, Ontario article has gone through with some major cleanup and it is now an article with over 100 citations on it. You may also want to take a look at WP:NOT for an explanation of what wikipedia is not.
Have fun!Nhl4hamilton 17:40, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
