[edit] Fair Use dispute response

  1. The image is a cropped screenshot from a tv show.
  2. The still is web-resolution sized.
  3. No free or public domain images have been located for this actor.
    1. He is still alive. It's not impossible to do so.
      1. This is an image of an actor portraying a 'character' in a show that is no longer in production. It is unlikely we would be able to find free or public domain images of him portraying Brian Kinney unless Showtime allowed visitors to take photos on set during filming of the production and someone was willing to offer them up for license under Creative Commons.
  4. The still does not limit the copyright owners' rights to distribute the tv show in any way.
    1. The image is not being used do illustrate the show, but the actor. Rationale shouldn'd go into the show.
      1. The image is being used to illustrate the actor's portrayl of the 'character' Brian Kinney in the show Queer as Folk. It is a screenshot of him as Brian Kinney in the show being discussed and placed on the page of the program's character being discussed.
  5. The still is used to illustrate the actor and tv show in question.
  6. The still is being used for informational purposes only, and its use is not believed to detract from the original show in any way.
    1. The image is not being used do illustrate the show, but the actor. Rationale shouldn'd go into the show.
      1. The image is being used to illustrate the show. Brian Kinney is a character in the show therefore he is a part of the show. He happens to be portrayed by Gale Harold but this screen cap is not a personal cap of Harold. The setting is specific to the show. The image illustrates the actor's portrayl of the 'character' Brian Kinney in Queer as Folk. It is a screenshot of him as Brian Kinney in the show being discussed and placed on the page of the program's character being discussed. Santress 03:49, 1 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Response accepted

I retract my dispute. I got it all wrong. I though Brian Kinney was the actor, and not the fictional character, as is cleary stated on the first line of the article, and I couldn't read. I apologize for the mess. Thank you and sorry for wasting your time, Santress. (This image would (probabily) be invalid in Gale_Harold though) --Abu Badali 04:13, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
