Galip Sokullu

Galip Sokullu (born 1945) is a Turkish vocalist. He was born in the Sultantepe district in Istanbul, Turkey.

Galip Sokullu started his music career in 1972, starting in the Batı Müziği (West Music) choir at Ankara Radyosu (Ankara Radio Station). He later entered the İstanbul Radyosu (Istanbul Radio Station) in 1977 as a TSM (1) artist. He retired from TRT after 29 years. He released only a single album during his career. He is still involved in theater and writes compositions.

(1) TSM is an abbreviation for Türk Sanat Müziği, which translates to Turkish Artistic Music. TSM is a highly respected branch of music in Turkey.

Galip Sokullu became a candidate for Türkiye Büyük Millet Meclisi (Grand National Assembly of Turkey) at 7th place for the city of Istanbul in 2002. He's a member of Bağımsız Türkiye Partisi (Independent Turkish Party).
