Galanthis
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In Greek mythology, Galanthis (or Galinthias) was Alcmene's servant.
While Alcmene was pregnant with Heracles, Galinthis was a priestess of Hera who tried to prevent her from giving birth. Zeus sent Hermes intervene and persuaded Galanthis to desist. Hera was angy and turned her into a weasel.
She was called Galinthis in Roman mythology.
