Gainfield is a small ribbon development in the civil parish of Buckland, part of the Vale of the White Horse, in the English county of Oxfordshire.

It is located at grid reference SU349958, along along the B4508 road, by its crossroads with the Buckland to Charney Bassett road, near Stanford in the Vale. It is opposite the woodland known as Buckland Warren.

There is a legend, intertwined with that of nearby Cherbury Camp, that tells of the land being given as a reward to a young shepherd boy, who saved the inhabitants of the camp by his vigilance.
