Gail Dinter-Gottlieb

Dr. Gail Dinter-Gottlieb was educated at the College of Mount Saint Vincent, New York (BSc.); Northeastern University, Boston; Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel (Ph.D.) and Harvard University Graduate School of Education, Cambridge (Diploma in Management Development).
Dr. Dinter-Gottlieb's research and scholarly activities have also included work on self-cleavage of the Tetrahymena intron with Nobel Laureate Dr. Thomas R Cech (1989). Her recent focus has been in the application of biotechnology to the study of HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis.
Dr. Dinter-Gottlieb pioneered a multidisciplinary course in AIDS education which garnered national acclaim in the US.[1]
Dr. Gottlieb became the 14th President and Vice-Chancellor of Acadia University on September 1, 2003.
