[edit] Retconning

The series was one of Gundam creator's Tomino's early visions of the future of the Gundam universe. The novels and radio dramas have now both been superseded by later works released by Sunrise (Gundam's copyright co-owner), and the novels are now considered to take place in an alternate history.
