Gael Greene is an American food critic and author of Insatiable: Tales from a Life of Delicious Excess (Warner Books, 2006). For more than 30 years, she served as New York magazine's "Insatiable Critic." Greene is also the co-founder of Citymeals-on-Wheels, which helps to feed the homebound elderly. She lives in New York City. She is also known for a memoir that describes a sexual encounter with Elvis Presley.
Greene famously went to great lengths to conceal her identity, so no restaurateurs would be able to identify her.
