Gadopsis
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Gadopsis genus is a genus of small to medium sized predatory Australian native freshwater fish. The Gadopsis genus was formerly considered to be in a family of its own (Gadopsidae) but is now generally considered to be part of the Percichthyidae family. Currently two species — river blackfish (Gadopsis marmoratus) and two-spined blackfish — are in the Gadopsis genus, but undescribed blackfish species are considered to exist, and may be added to the genus.
