G.M. Banatwalla

G.M. Banatwalla is an Indian politician and teacher. He was Member of Parliament in 13th Lok Sabha. He represented the constituency of Ponnani in the State of Kerala. He is a member of the Muslim League Kerala State Committee ("MLKSC").

Banatwalla was born 15 August 1933 in Bombay (State of Maharashtra) to Shri Haji Noormohamed and Smt. Ayesha.

On 21 February 1960 he married Dr. Ayesha Banatwalla, who has since died.

His educational qualifications include a Master of Commerce (M.Com.) and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.). Banatwalla was educated at the Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, and S.T. College, both in Bombay. His favourite pastimes are reading and writing. He is a widely travelled man, having visited ten different countries.
