[edit] Infoboxes
Just wanted to say that I think you are doing great work on Wildernesses and Mountain ranges. Generally for mountain range articles, it may be best to use the infobox mountain template which is used by the Wikipedia:WikiProject Mountains. You can always copy and paste one from this article, which is the currently used template for all mountain articles.--MONGO 08:33, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
Additionally, you may wish to add the template {{Messagebox protected areas}} to those articles that are either parks, forests, national wildlife refuges or wilderness on the talk pages of article you come accross or create, and {{Mountain}} to article talk pages related to mountains and mountain ranges. Your images are excellent by the way.--MONGO 08:46, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
You may wish to join the mountain project list above or Wikipedia:WikiProject Protected areas if you plan on doing lots of articles related to these areas.--MONGO 08:47, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hi and thanks
Hi G. Thomas. Thanks for your good contributions to various New Mexico (and other) geographic articles. You'll see that I've done a bit of editing on a number of these. In fact I got curious about what you had been doing, so I looked at your contributions, and that turned out to be a great list of things to look at (and put on my watchlist), a lot of which I hadn't looked at before. It seems we have a lot of interests in common. Anyway, one result is that you'll see my name on a lot of edits right in a row, which I'm sure can be disconcerting or even seem threatening. That's certainly not my intention; I was just interested in your neighborhood of Wikipedia and of course I did some edits while visiting. I'm sure we'll continue to intersect, so I figured I would say hi.
You'll note I did a few edits that reconfigure pictures to eliminate whitespace. Let me know if you disagree with these, but I think that they really do make the pages look better. Some of the pictures are smaller, but readers can always click for larger versions. Also, I did one substantive edit regarding topographic prominence, which is a page you might want to look at. Cheers, Spireguy 05:22, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] NM mountain ranges
Hi---Thanks for the location map additions. Would you like to add location maps to San Mateo Mountains (Cibola County, New Mexico) and San Mateo Mountains (Socorro County, New Mexico)? -- Spireguy 23:41, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Images
I moved four of your images to wikipedia commons so they could be linked to by people of all the different language wiki's easier...I saw you had uploaded them and released to the public domain, which is very much appreciated. The four images I moved are all using the original files names you had for them and include:
If you are still interested in uploading images and releasing them to the public domain, the images will be easier to access by others if you upload them to commons. [1] I wanted to once again thank you for adding some very helpful images for use by Wikipedia.--MONGO 06:53, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
