G. W. & W. D. Hewitt was the premier architectural firm in the eastern United States at the turn of the twentieth century. Founded in Philadelphia in 1878 by brothers George Wattson Hewitt and William Dempster Hewitt. The firm was dissolved in 1907 when George retired. Both were members of American Institute of Architects

Internationally known architect, Horace Trumbauer was a member of the firm. Phineas Paist also worked at the firm in the beginning of his career.
