Günther von Mannagetta und Lërchenau Beck

Günther von Mannagetta und Lërchenau Beck (born 25 August 1856 in Pressburg, modern Bratislava, died 23 June 1931 in Prague) was a prominent German botanist
He was a director of the department of botany of the Natural History Museum of Vienna and professor at the University of Vienna and University of Prague between 1899 and 1921.
Beck directed the publication of Wiener Illustrierten Gartenzeitung and is the author of:
- Flora von Niederösterreich (1890-1893)
- Die Vegetationsverhältnisse der illyrischen Länder begreifend Südkroatien, die Quarnero-Inseln, Dalmatien, Bosnien und die Hercegovina, Montenegro, Nordalbanien, den Sandzak Novipazar und Serbien (1901)
- Hilfsbuch für Pflanzensammler (1902)
- Flora Bosne, Hercegovine i Novipazarskog Sandzaka (three volumes, 1903-1927)
- Grundriß der Naturgeschichte des Pflanzenreiches, (1908)
He also contributed in Die natürlichen Pflanzenfamilien: Orobanchaceae (1895) editor for Heinrich Gustav Adolf Engler (1844-1930) and for Karl Anton Eugen Prantl (1849-1893).
Beck also attempted to revise the pitcher plant genus Nepenthes.
