Güira de Melena

Güira de Melena is a town and municipality in Havana Province of west-central Cuba. It is at and an elevation of 45 ft.
The town is south of San Antonio de los Baños and east of Alquízar.
The municipality has a population of about 23,949 [1] and an area of 219 km². The principal economic activities include agriculture, especially tobacco; the city has cigar factories. Other agricultural products are potatoes, bananas, pineapples and other tropical fruits, and dairy products.
