After this album however, Gökhan's fame slowly faded. His second release Civciv was an excellent album. However, during the first days of the album, Gökhan Özen was lost in the sea while he was on his jet ski. When he was found a few days later, people focused more on this recent event than his album, so it was never widely sold. However, after months of the release of his album, Gökhan was able to come up with a remix to one of his songs "Aman Boşver". He added the remix as the first track to his Civciv album, which made not as much copies sold as his previous Duman Gözlüm album, but still helped him gain more fans for the album. This same year, he entered the University entrance exam and earned entry to the psychology division of İstanbul Bilgi Üniversitesi. During his later music career, he continued his education from that school. His next album, Asilinda was also not a big hit. After the release of the album, Gökhan was accused of murder. In court, he was proven guilty and he spent one to two months in jail till he was finally released because the accuser had started accusing someone else. Gökhan was innocent.
