142.177.8.89 said, "(avoiding colons in book titles in favor of dashes (subtitles usually aren't separated by colons in catalogues))" In my experience, they are separated by colons in library and bookstore catalogs. See online bookstores such as amazon.com for examples. Also, the book Anglo-American Cataloging Rules, which English-speaking libraries use. GUllman 05:43 Mar 3, 2003 (UTC)
