Future Games (album)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Future Games, subtitled "A Magical Kahauna Dream", was the fourth album that Spirit would release for Mercury Records. However, it is practically a Randy California solo album in all but name, as he played most of the instruments and did most of the writing throughout the album. Coming off as a slightly-warped science fiction version of Spirit of '76, it is an album that greatly divides fans. Many find it boring and monotonous, while others appreciate the humor and character that the album embodies. If nothing else, it certainly stands alone in Spirit's ouevure.
It has been released several times on CD.
