Fusion Magazine (comedy magazine)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Fusion is a comedy magazine founded and edited by Glenn Beck and published in the United States. The title is taken from Beck's talk radio program's motto, The Fusion of Entertainment and Enlightenment.

Fusion is a sixteen page publication that is published ten times a year. It features several recurring items, including a "Predictive obituary" of famous people or institutions (because the magazine must be put to print weeks before it is distributed), "Stu's 3rd to the last page", and "By the numbers" (a listing of trivial facts related to the issue). Several issues have special topics, and/or special articles.

Those who attended the 2005 Glenn Beck: On Ice tour received the premiere issue, featuring puppet-like replication of Glenn ice skating with training wheels on the cover. According to the Glenn Beck Disaster Relief Auction, the "puppet was hand made out of polymer clay, wire, metal, plastic, foam, fabric and sequins by Chris Sickels of Red Nose Studio." The auction raised thousands of dollars for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The articles in the premiere issue include:

  • 1/4 Page Politics
  • The License to Procreate Quiz
  • Raphe (Glenn's 8 month old son) on Social Security
  • A Predictive Obituary (for Michael Jackson)
  • Chortle Quarterly (For the Weathiest One Percent)
  • Stu's 3rd to last page (titled: I Want You Dead)
  • Glenn's Hatemail (which is a highlight of the incendiary hatemail he receives daily)
