Furnarchy
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Furnarchy is a proxy client for Furcadia. It is currently maintained by Cluracan and its modules are created by its userbase. Furnarchy is currently the most popular Furcadia proxy by number of users.
Instead of using local TCP like other proxies, Furnarchy operates entirely in the Furcadia client's memory space. This immediate relationship to the client also allows Furnarchy to carry out all its operations within the client process — including drawing its interface right into the Furcadia window.
Proponents of Furnarchy note that it solves the problems other proxies encounter of clutter and data lag, and that it is Furcadia's fastest proxy to date. Its modular system also encourages addition of new features that may not be practical in other proxies.
Detractors sometimes express frustration with Furnarchy's complexity and, occasionally, tendency to crash. In addition, as with all proxy clients, OS and security issues may exist such as the inability to minimize the window to the systray or having your password stolen.
