Fur (island)

Fur is a small Danish island in the Limfjord. Fur has under 900 inhabitants. The island covers an area of 22 km². It is located at 9.01E Longitude and 56.49N Latitude.
The island is locally renowned for its deposits of diatomite, known in Danish as 'moler'. Fossil hunt is a popular activity on the island, and the fossils one can find in the moler are more than 55 million years old.
