[edit] Information
Fun 100 are a Canadian band started in Abbotsford, British Columbia on the first day of the year 2000. They now mostly play in and around Vancouver. They are semi-famous for their use of the Keytar. They are comprised of Ryan Dyck (Keytar/Lead Vocals), Steve Matheson (Bass, Backup Vocals), Marc Boucher (Keyboard, Backup Vocals), Bruce Dyck (Drums), and Adam Fothergill (Guitar, Backup Vocals). Former members include Nathan Rothenburger, Mark Jaholkowski, and Robin Price. Several members have or are in other musical projects. Steve Matheson was a member of The.WPP, Target and The Seams and currently plays in Ghost House with Jesse Gander of DBS. Marc Boucher was the mind behind Andrew Squared. Bruce Dyck also drums for You Say Party! We Say Die! and has put in time for Raised by Wolves, The Temper Tantrums, and others, while Adam Fothergill is in the two-piece Title Shot with Jonny Hughes of Cran], STICKS, and The Hand.
Their songs often feature references to early 1990's pop culture, with subjects from Michael Moore's film Roger and Me, television program Full House, to family films including The Mighty Ducks and Home Alone 2. Other influences and inspirations include the 1993/94 Vancouver Canucks, 1910 Fruitgum Company, Devo, the Pointed Sticks, Gary Numan, Japanese Pop Music, moog records from thrift stores and nostalgic pop punk in general.
They came second in CiTR's SHiNDiG 2005, where they dressed up as the 1994 Vancouver Canucks, which some say cursed them. They have recieved critical acclaim in many publications and will be releasing a third/fifth record in the near future.
- If you're able to provide some links to those publications, the article could probably come back.

[edit] Why this should not be deleted
taken from WP:MUSIC
A musician or ensemble (note that this includes a band, singer, rapper, orchestra, hip hop crew, dj etc) is notable if it meets any one of the following criteria:'
- Has had a charted hit on any national music chart
- Note the word "Any." Fun 100 frequents college charts in Canada. Besides being number one on UBC's CITR, Kamloops CFBX, Lethbridges CKXU and Waterloos CKMS, Fun 100 has charted on over a dozen campus/community radio stations across Canada. More importantly, Fun 100 spent time in the top 50 on both major Canadian campus radio charts, Chartattack (reached #21 in December 2005) [2] and Earshot (#46 in November 2005) [3]
- Has gone on an international concert tour, or a national concert tour in at least one large or medium-sized country
- Fun 100 has gone on two cross country Canadian tours and several smaller tours
- Has been prominently featured in any major music media.
- Fun 100 has been featured in articles in several music publications including Terminal City [4] and Discorder as well as CBC radio 3's regular broadcast, website, podcast and sattelite radio show. Positive reviews of the band have appeared in Maximum Rock n Roll, HeartattaCk, and the Nerve [5]
- Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise extremely notable; note that it is often most appropriate to use redirects in place of articles on side projects, early bands and such.
- This is arguable, but members were/are in The WPP, The Temper Tantrums (who definitely qualify as notable), Raised by Wolves, and You Say Party! We Say Die! (who also qualify as notable)
- Has won or placed in a major music competition.
- Is Shindig is one of, if not THE most respected Vancouver Battle of the Bands?
- Okay, that's good. If you can show what charts, a touring schedule, and/or some of those media magazines, then the article is unlikely to be deleted. I want this article to be here, but it unfortunately won't stick around unless those get presented. --badlydrawnjeff (WP:MEME?) 22:34, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
