Funny Face (TV series)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This series is unrelated, other than by coincidence of name, to the 1957 musical film Funny Face.
Funny Face was a short-lived situation comedy broadcast by CBS as part of its 1971 fall lineup.
Funny Face starred Sandy Duncan as Sandy Stockton, a young UCLA student majoring in education who had started to supplement her income by appearing in television commercials. She was from the small town of Taylorville, Illinois, and hence was somewhat bewildered by life as it was in Los Angeles, which was radically different than her Midwest upbringing.
This program failed to garner much of an audience and was cancelled less than three months after its premiere; however, CBS gave the Sandy Stockton character and Miss Duncan another chance the next season in The Sandy Duncan Show, which met with little more success.
