[edit] Tanner's Island

(September 22, 1989)

The Tanner family goes on a vacation to Hawaii. Joey sees an "imaginary" girl and chases her all over Hawaii, thinking he sees her. Steph and DJ swim with dolphins, then they are all forced to go see random elvis spots, thanks to Jesse. Later they go on a boating trip with Danny as skipper. They plan to go to an island for a show, but end up lost, searching for an island on the map that's really just a potato chip crumb. Stephanie believes that some Hawaiian creatures called "Menehuneies" will come save them. They get scared to death, but end up rescued. The band at the show lets Jesse sing an Elvis song and he's happy.

(September 29, 1989)

Stephanie in 2nd grade, D.J. in 7th grade. Stephanie is a little nervous about the 2nd grade because she'll be the only Tanner. D.J. how ever is really excited, until she gets to school. She and Kimmy have no classes together, except for Spanish, and feel that the other kids are more mature than they are, such as one student had a mustache and Kathy Santoni grew huge breasts over the summer. D.J. eats lunch in the phone booth after finding that there is no place for her to sit and that she was dressed just like the teacher that everyone hates(Kimmy had worse luck; she had to give her lunch to a girl with a tattoo). D.J. and Kimmy try to look more mature for school the next day, by putting on clothes like the popular girls who picked on D.J. and wearing a lot of makeup. Danny doesn't let D.J. go to school looking like that, and soon after, he learns what D.J.'s first day of 7th grade was like. D.J. takes Becky's advice about making it look as though she's not wearing makeup at all, and Danny lets her go to school then. Kimmy is transferred to D.J.'s lunch period, and they sit with a girl who is in D.J.'s fifth period class.

(October 6, 1989)

Jesse and Becky's differences are pulling them apart. What will it take to mend Jesse and Becky's broken relationship? Love, trust...and a little help from D.J. and Stephanie. The "tooth fairy" Danny gives Stephanie $20 for her tooth. The guys try to teach Michelle how to share.

(October 13, 1989)

When Stephanie mocks a classmate, Walter (a.k.a. Duck-face), Jesse pushes her into apologizing by phone. But the next day she's furious with her uncle when duck-faced Walter shows up with the embarrassing notion that she's his girlfriend!

Meanwhile, Becky's on an assignment, and the ever-uptight Danny finds a guest host, but almost comes to blows with the never-on-time Joey.

After Danny's mother retires, she decides to move on with her life- by moving in with Danny. He convinces the family to pretend like they need her so that she'll feel better about her she should stay at the tanners house forever

Ten years ago, Joey vowed he'd give himself a decade - and no more - to make it as a comic. So, he has a chance to fulfill his dream- on Star Search.

(November 10, 1989)

The girls fall in love with a beautiful stray dog...who's about to have puppies. The Tanners' new friend must be given back to the original owner, but they get to keep one of the puppies (later known as Comet).

(November 17, 1989)

The great race. To determine who's the best athlete, Jesse, Danny, and Joey lace up their running shoes. While just about to begin, Becky shows up with the camera crew of Wake Up San Francisco. To make the race interesting, the winner has to pick the outfits the losers wear to Stephanie's school Halloween party. Stephanie and DJ get into a fight over if DJ is going to the Halloween party or a party with her friends. Stephanie leaves D.J., but only temporarily.

(November 24, 1989)

Jesses's old chum comes back from a trip to Europe. He realizes that his frend is still lving the wild life that they vowed to live. Afraid he's losing his edge, Jesse decides to repeat a dangerous stunt he performed in his daredevil youth. Thanks to Becky and his family, he doesn't do it after all, possibly saving his life.

(December 1, 1989)

Michelle's circus-themed birthday party features clowns, an elephant, balloons, cake... but no birthday girl!!! Because Michelle went with Jesse and Stephanie to the gas station but it closes while they are still in there. This might ruin the birthday of most three-year-olds but not Michelle with her wonderful Uncle Jesse and sister Stephanie.

(December 8, 1989)

Earthquake! A temblor shakes everyone up- Especially Stephanie, who becomes a clinging Daddy's girl. When Stephanie will not leave her fathers side Danny is forced to take her to therapy because she won't tell anyone what is wrong. Eventually it turns out Stephanie was worried about losing both of her parents when Danny disappears from her side for a few hours.

Joey has a brilliant comedy idea for the new "Perma Teeth" campaign, but Jesse repeatedly tells him they're only using his musical approach. Stacey, a backup singer who's fallen for Joey, believes his ideas are worth listening to, and convinces Joey to stand up to Jesse. Jesse still ignores the comic angle, but Joey has a plan.

Meanwhile, Danny, D.J. & Michelle are furious over their belongings turning into Comet's chew-toys, compounded by Stephanie protecting him from discipline. But Stephanie quickly (and loudly) changes her tune when she finds Comet's latest meal is Mr. Bear!

My fair Jesse! Joey lends a hand when Jesse strives to raise his culture quotient for an elegant soirée. Jesse makes a fool out of himself upsetting Becky, and writes a beautiful love song to make amends.

To earn money for her own phone, D.J. babysits. Unfortunately, her little charge is a tiny tower of terror. Danny plays poker with Jesse's friends.

Danny dates a neatness-challenged woman. To prove how bad she is, while they are making out, Danny is folding socks. Jesse blames Michelle for taking his house key.

On her first day of pre-school, Michelle is marked as a birdbrain when she lets the class's pet bird, Dave, escape. She feels very guilty and does not want to go back to school. Danny buys a new replacement bird, Sammy, in which Michelle brings into class. Michelle is awarded with the "sharing crown" and likes school again. Stephanie wants to know why D.J. went to school early, so she reads her diary. But, she can't put on the lock.

D.J. turns 13 years old, and has her first boy-girl party. Kimmy and Kathy set her up to play "spin-the-bottle" and kiss Kevin. At the heat of the moment, Jesse, Danny, and Joey barge in to stop the game. Michelle does not want to go back to school. One job, scrambled. Joey's tryout for the role of TV's Mr. Egghead turns into a shell of a mess, when they accidentally break Stephanie's nose right before class picture day. Danny and D.J. go to court over a traffic violation.

The girls are ungrateful for all of the things that Danny, Joey, and Jesse do for them. They decide to put the girls in charge in order to teach them a lesson. However, the plan backfires and they end up being sent to their rooms. In the end, the girls realize that they were ungrateful and apologize.

Stephanie accidentally starts Joey's new car...and crashes into the kitchen. Terrified, she runs away, headed for Mexico to become a Mexico Hat Dancer. Jesse becomes jealous of Becky's date.

A school dance and D.J. with a beer in her hand?! A furious Jesse jumps to the wrong conclusion. Michelle plays non-stop "Baby Beluga" after Joey introduced it to her.

Danny agrees to babysit the neighbors' son Tony for the weekend, but as the Tanner's give all their attention to the baby, Michelle becomes jealous. Comet goes to obedience school.

(April 27, 1990)

A fraternity reunion ends up with Joey and Danny in drag, and in jail. Kimmy is banished because she destroyed the Tanner's T.V.

(May 4, 1990)

Everyone gets in on the act when Danny hosts a 24-hour "We Love Our Children" Telethon, but Danny forgets how long 24 hours actually is and falls asleep during the telethon.
