Inspired by the true story of University of Virginia basketball star Lamont Carr. The main character Alex Schlotsky is inspired by the true story of Alex Skobel.
An African American college basketball star becomes the head coach of a yeshiva's struggling basketball team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, after a knee injury forces him to leave the game.
