Fujiwara no Teika or Sadaie (藤原定家 c.1162-1241) was a Japanese waka poet, critic, calligrapher, novelist (Tale of Matsura), scribe and scholar of the late Heian and early Kamakura periods. This picture was drawn by Kikuchi Yosai(菊池容斎) who was a painter in Japan.

According to articles 51 and 57 of the copyright laws of Japan, under the jurisdiction of the Government of Japan all non-photographic works enter the public domain 50 years after the death of the creator (there being multiple creators, the creator who dies last). This applies world-wide.
