Fujiwara no Tadahira

Fujiwara no Tadahira (藤原 忠平; 880 - 949) was a kuge (Japanese noble) who served as regent under Emperor Suzaku who ruled from 930 to 946.

Born the forth son of Mototsune, Kampaku, he took over the head of the Fujiwara family in 909 when his elder brother Tokihira died. In 930 he was appointed Sessho and in 941 Kampaku. He was known for good nature and industriousness.

Emperor Murakami was the maternal nephew of Tadahira.
