FTPEditor

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

FTPEditor is a software for Windows which combines an FTP-Client and a text editor into one product. This eases the process of editing files on a remote FTP server. Multiple files can be opened for editing. FTPEditor downloads the content from the server in the background and transfers changes back to the server when the users decides to save the document.

FTPEditor is available in two versions: FTPEditor Standard for basic remote editing needs and FTPEditor Pro which offers extended features like secure transfers (SFTP), Team Development and other editor features.

[edit] History

When FTPEditor was published 1999 it was offered as advertising-based freeware. Due to user demand and the upcoming debate about adware the license model was changed starting with the release of version 1.8.
