Fruitcake is the fourth commercial album of the Eraserheads, released in 1996 by BMG Records (Pilipinas). It is also the official Christmas album and accompanied by a separate storybook, also called Fruitcake.

The release of Fruitcake is preceded by the release of a limited EP version, also called Fruitcake. The EP version contains only three songs, including a different version of the song Fruitcake and another song called Christmas Alphabet which is not found in the official Fruitcake album.

[edit] Trivia

  1. Prior to the song Fruit Cake, the first song, the album starts with a seemingly gibberish opening theme. But it's actually Merry Christmas Everybody Happy New Year Too played in reverse.
  2. This is the only album of the Eraserheads that doesn't contain songs sang in Tagalog.
  3. Shadow Boxes Accountants, Shadow Reads The News Today, Oh Boy and shadow@buttholesurfs.com are piano instrumentals by Buddy Zabala.
  4. Among the albums of the Eraserheads, this one has the most songs.
