[edit] More mapsHi, if you have the information and get a chance, could you make distro maps for the salt and freshwater crocodiles please.--Peta 11:20, 26 July 2006 (UTC) [edit] Amphibians of AustraliaThanks, it took a long time! There is still some work needed for it (especially to include the Hylids), but I am pretty happy with how far along it is. This article has great potential, I hope we can get it to FA and FL (I think we will need to split it). Good work with it so far. --liquidGhoul 10:20, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
How are the images now? --liquidGhoul 12:42, 28 July 2006 (UTC) Why are you removing the italics from all the genera names, they are supposed to have them (see WP:TOL). --liquidGhoul 06:55, 30 July 2006 (UTC) [edit] Peer reviewThe article is coming along nicely. I'd be good if some of the inline cites were to original paper sources - since the information provided by the IUCN etc. is usually just a summary of someone elses research. I can get pdfs of most recently published journal articles, so take a look at this list and let me know if there are any articles you'd like to have the full text for.--Peta 07:19, 1 August 2006 (UTC) [edit] License tagging for Image:Crocodylus johnstoni range.pngThanks for uploading Image:Crocodylus johnstoni range.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images. For more information on using images, see the following pages: This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 08:04, 1 August 2006 (UTC) [edit] VandalProofI noticed you attempted to add your name to the VandalProof request page, however you added your name in the Approved section and not the Awaiting_Approval section as required. If you would like to be considered please add your name there, as the Moderator software would have deleted your name without us noticing (if I hadn't caught it beforehand). Thanks in advance - Glen 09:55, 2 August 2006 (UTC) [edit] Maps and frogsHi, the maps look great, thanks. About sources for the frog article - I think that is important where possible to cite original research - not an organisations interpretation of that research, it realtes to the idea of a reliable sources and I think it is important to give some acknowlegdement to the people who actaully did all the hard work, so if you change your mind about wanting to look at the original papers just leave me a message.--Peta 00:49, 3 August 2006 (UTC) [edit] Re:GGBFNot their winter breeding habitat, just their winter retreat habitat. The paper is at the top of this list, but I can only get it by hard copy, so I can't send it to you. --liquidGhoul 03:20, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] CopyeditI did as requested; reordered sentences to improve flow in one section and left several inline comments on fragments where there were questions about word choice or, in one instance, a convoluted sentence whose meaning was not unambiguous. I'd rather you improved it than me guessing it wrong. - Samsara (talk • contribs) 21:28, 5 August 2006 (UTC) [edit] OpisthodonHe has written the source on many of the articles. Here, I am currently downloading it (>9mb). --liquidGhoul 06:14, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Roy/HGFroggy, (not sure if I'm doing this correctly, apologies if I am) but the changes I made to Roy and HG's origin commentary page were NOT nonsense-I've listened to every one for the last 5 years, I can assure you of that. The previous unsigned comment was written by 211.31.57.32 [edit] WIkipedia:Esperanza/User Page AwardFroggydarb, thanks for signing up for the Esperanza User Page Contest. [edit] PelodrydinaeDon't fret. We won't take action on this part of the paper, it says itself that they weren't thorough enough on these frogs (only a few species were tested). Another paper is coming out soon, and it will deal with the Pelodryines. Always remember to sign your comments :) Thanks --liquidGhoul 11:11, 13 August 2006 (UTC) [edit] CongratsCongrats on the Green and Golden Bell Frog FA. Now you have to put up with it being on the main page (you can practice with Cane Toad, it will be on in two days). Not a good experience, that one. --liquidGhoul 13:42, 13 August 2006 (UTC) [edit] Cute frog!I love the frog at the top of your userpage - so cute! -- Natalya 16:12, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[edit] WIkipedia:Esperanza/User Page AwardGreetings, Froggydarb. The judges would like to announce that the winner for the Esperanza User Page Contest has been chosen. Congratulations to Buchanan-Hermit for winning the contest. The winning entry can be found here.
[edit] Aus frog listIt seems that most of that info should be in the genera articles. I had assumed that was what was happening when I came across it a while ago. You should try and merge as much info from it as possible into the repective genus articles. --liquidGhoul 06:23, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Featured picJust making sure you knew your photo is on the main page. --liquidGhoul 07:58, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] littlejohni tadpoleDon't you think the photo's a little dark? Do you have anything lighter? My photos came out quite a bit brighter.--Tnarg12345 10:25, 20 August 2006 (UTC) [edit] Award

[edit] frogs pictures - preditorsI know this isnt the preferred type of frog photographs but you may be able to use it in articles about preditors of frogs. commons:Egretta novaehollandiae --Gnangarra 06:22, 29 August 2006 (UTC) [edit] TfD nomination of Template:FroggydarbTemplate:Froggydarb has been nominated for deletion. At the Australian wine article, we're in need of something similar, though I'm not graphically minded in any way as much as I'd love to be. Are you able to help out when you've got some time? -- Longhair 02:59, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Esperanza/User Page AwardGreetings, Froggydarb. The judges would like to announce that the winner for the Esperanza User Page Contest has been chosen. Congratulations to Misza13 for winning the contest. The winning entry can be found here.
[edit] Frog life cylceI was wondering whether you had a better version of the life-cycle than is currently on the frog article. I would like one which has a really good tadpole photo, and every stage the same species (maybe Limnodynastes peronii would be easiest?). I really don't like the current one. The photos look depressing, and I doubt they are all the same species. Thanks. --liquidGhoul 02:01, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Extinct frogsWhat's your source for the T. acutirostris specimen in 1996? --liquidGhoul 12:31, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Crinia parinsigniferaWith that recent edit to Crinia parinsignifera, are you just talking about with Crinia sloanei, or both species? --liquidGhoul 13:02, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] MapHi, if you have time could you please make a numbat distrobution map, you can see one here. Thanks. --Peta 06:09, 13 October 2006 (UTC) [edit] MixophyesIt says in the abstract that the two new species were not suspected. So you may be thinking of something else. Either that, or they have taken a long time to write the paper. --liquidGhoul 05:12, 6 November 2006 (UTC) [edit] User:Froggydarb/ausfroglistDo you mind if others can edit this list, so we have an idea of what is done, and what needs to be done further. Also, if we create an article, we can move it up the list, and if it is on everyone's watchlist, we can tell when a new article has been created. It would be good to have a link to it for the new Australian biota project. Also, I would like to bold those which have photographs. Thanks. --liquidGhoul 14:05, 26 November 2006 (UTC) New to this, but passed your link somewhere an hour ago :P I recently got some pictures you may like. One here, [1]is a grainy zoom from these - [2] and [3] you may be able to do better with your picture editing software. They were taken in my suburban backyard near Kookaburra Park in Rocklea, Brisbane, QLD ( Large creek there but I can't find the name of it. Also turtles & ducks are regulars there) Yes that is a home-brew keg he is sitting on :) --Bentalphanerd 16:45, 15 January 2007 (UTC) [edit] POTY 2006The arrangements for the Commons:Picture of the Year 2006 competition are now complete, and voting will start tomorrow, Feb 1st. All the featured pictures promoted last year are automatically nominated. As the creator of one or more images nominated for the election we invite you to participate in the event. Alvesgaspar 11:43, 31 January 2007 (UTC) [edit] Image:Bufoinvasion.gifHi,tanks for the awesome animation for the cane toad article. However, I would like to see it go up to 2005 if at all possible? [4] may help. Thanks — Jack · talk · 09:49, Wednesday, 28 March 2007 |
