I was born in Hamilton, Ohio, but have lived most of my life in Columbia, South Carolina. Recently, I spent 16 months in Sofia, Bulgaria as an MBA Enterprise Corps volunteer. I have an undergraduate degree in computer science and MBA from the University of South Carolina as well as a dozen years of experience in IT, accounting, and general management. I have very eclectic interests ranging from technical topics to geo-political and cultural areas. I included the "BS" userbox because I just like to quickly hammer out articles about subjects I know without much research; I assume other users, who are more knowledgeable or have more patient, will eventually revise it—that's what I love about the Wikipedia community. For example, I became a big fan of the video podcast Tiki Bar TV and quickly created an article that has now taken on a life of its own. That being said, I occasionally do some gnome-like tasks and fix mistakes I see.

My contributions have been tapering off lately—honestly, it just isn't fun anymore. I commend—and am amazed by—those who continue to tirelessly expand, correct, and generally make Wikipedia a more valueable resource everyday.
