Frons

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Frons (singular) is the term used to describe the frontal area of an insect's head. The head of the insect, wich normally is not even in a "Frons" position, is only in that position when an insect is confused. Not all insects have a "frons". A praying mantis for instance doesn't have a frons, this leads to believe that this is a very intelligent insect.
