Frisco, North Carolina

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Frisco, North Carolina is a small community on the barrier island of Hatteras Island, between the villages of Buxton and Hatteras. It was previously named Trent, or Trent Woods, but received a new name with the coming of the post office (Zip Code 28946) in 1898. Most of the land here is taken up by houses available for rental during the summer months and inhabited by more permanent owners during the winter.

General Billy Mitchell has an airfield here named after him, right across the street from Frisco Native American Museum.
