Friendship networks colloquially describes interconnected networks of people who are connected through friendship, often described as overlapping circles of friends[citation needed]. Internet developments such as MSN FriendShips!, Friendster, Penpals Network and MySpace, Hi5 [www.hi5.com] are databases which allow people to explore their friendship networks, as well as map one's various relationships to others.
