Frieda Van Themsche

Frieda Van Themsche is a member of the Belgian parliament for the far right Vlaams Belang party. She was born April 26, 1955, in Ukkel. She lives in Harelbeke.

During World War II, her father voluntarily fought on the side of his country's occupier Nazi Germany in Waffen SS (Military SS) uniform against the Soviets on the Eastern Front.[1][2][3] Her brother, Hans van Themsche's father, was a founding member of the Vlaams Blok.[4][5][6]

On May 23, 2005, she proposed to forbid the use of trucks on public roads on Sundays and public holidays.[7]
