By the way, please be sure to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! RJFJR 20:28, July 13, 2005 (UTC)
[edit] How I got on the welcome committee
Welcoming comes under the Be Bold principle. When I see that someone has edited a page in my watchlist and has a red talk link and a real name I drop by and post the welcome template {{welcome}} (with the command subst: {{subst:welcome}} which means substitute the template message rather than interpreting it each time the page is displayed).
I remember when the welcome template was put on my talk page, I liked it, so now I go and welcome others in. Let me know if you have any other questions. RJFJR 21:24, July 13, 2005 (UTC)
