I am a long time user of Wikipedia and have tried to edit and add to current articles with the hope of improving them. I have also created some small articles which I think have been helpful. In fact, one the greatest strengths of Wikipedia is the information that it brings together on smaller subjects that would never be covered in a book encyclopedia. Interestingly, I think one of the shortcomings of Wikipedia is the overzealousness of it's herd of article deleters. They are more of a problem than any dubious article may be.
