Talk:Freestyle football

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I think the keepie uppie and football freestyle titles should be merged what does everyone else think? dwanyewest

Actually, I think they should remain separate. "keepie uppie" tends to mean simply keeping the ball airborngame or a drill for practising, freestyle football can encompass flatland tricks aswell (i.e. not in the air) and is in its most complex form, more reminiscent of gymnastics, but with a football under control. As the article stands now, it clearly seems to be the same thing... Maybe a proposed merge could improve the discussion... By the way, Sepak Takraw rules! 惑乱 分からん 23:45, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Neutrality

This article reads more like a magazine column.

"Just like everyone else, he was amazed and inspired by Maradona's juggling and wanted to develop his skills to be just like Maradona. Eventually, Mr. Woo gained immense popularity as a football entertainer and inspired another generation of freestylers such as Abbas Farid. Up until the early 21st century, most of these freestylers were Mr. Woo inspired"

I've highlighted some of the POV comments. Really the whole article needs redoing. I have no problem with this sort of article apart from it should be on someone's blog, journal or in a magazine. Let's keep wikipedia for encyclopedia entries. Mglovesfun 17:54, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Noted Freestylers

Dwanyewest 00:00, 7 March 2007 (UTC) I think noted freestylers should be kept to a minimum what does anyone else think?
