I severely edited the criticisms section, because a lot of the criticisms were false. For instance, there are a couple of characters from previous films (Johnny Depp's character from the first film, and Freddy's daughter, who was mentioned in te 1st and 2nd film.). Also, the reason Freddy is able to blur the lines between reality and dreams is because he has abosrbed all the souls of all the children in the town, thereby making him extremely powerful. All this is outlined on the new line website, as well as on the Freddy Krueger page.
