Fresvik

Fresvik is a village in the municipality of Vik, Norway, located on the southern shore of the Sognefjord.

The population is approximately 280, including natural norwegian born residents as well as several other nationalities; United States, Canada, Thailand, China, Netherlands, Germany, Poland, England and Brazil.

This village provides a wonderful starting point for hikes into the UNESCO World Heritage site of Nærøyfjord, and up to Fresvik Breen (glacier).

Famous people from this village include; Mensen Ernst (long distance runner), Jon O. Bøtun (poet), and Øyvind Hatleli (world traveller)
