Fresh Meat and Old Slabs

Fresh Meat and Old Slabs is an unreleased album by Beck. Very little is known about the album, which is much more obscure than the other unofficial Beck (non)releases. Beck had this to say, "Yeah, that's something I made for my Mom - actually for her birthday, I think. I made it because she opened up a cafe and she wanted some of my music to play in the cafe. So I put together some of the different songs off the different tapes I'd made."^{[citation needed]} The album was recorded on 4-track and circulated amongst Hansen family members. Wider circulation of this album since occurred through bootlegging channels.
