Seven of ships of the French Navy have borne the name of Suffren, after the 18th Century admiral Pierre André de Suffren:

• A 74-gun ship of the line (1791–1794), renamed Redoutable in 1794 (and later fought at the Battle of Trafalgar
• A 74-gun ship of the line (1801–1815)
• A 90-gun ship of the line (1824–1865)
• An armoured frigate (1866–1897)
• A battleship (1899–1916)
• A cruiser (1926–1963)
• A missile frigate (1968– )
