Freelords is a turn based strategic game. It is open source and written primarily to run under Linux even though it can run on a number of platforms. As the name suggests it is a clone of Warlords and most resembles Warlords II but has already begun to diverge from Warlords especially in the area of combat.
It is written in C++ for SDL and uses the ParaGUI widget set.
It is still very much "under development" but is sufficiently far advanced to be playable.
